The one my wife just bought me is black and automatic....fully opens and collapses with a touch of a button. It has the BMW roundel on the outside cover when open. It came with a holder that you're supposed to screw into the left side of the front passenger footwell but my car has a net already mounted there. I also already have an automatic umbrella so I just returned the BMW one.

Mine is automatic too, but that's auto opening.
It is black, and it says BMW on it, no roundel.
I have them under the rear seats, so I can reach back there and get it.

Wait a second. When i bought my E49 back in 2000, my sales rep gave me an unbrella for free. It did not last me long to.. a very strong wind took it away

That's the one that my wife got me. Now that I'm looking at it, it makes me want it again.....I'm a nut.

Welcome to the forum ether!

thanks for the contribution. Please provide your whereabouts to your set-up so that it would be easier to answer your potential questions.
BTW how does the umbrella looks like when open and is it full automatic? Is it from the new accessories catalogue? I noticed the the umbrellas from the catologues 04' and 05' differ. The former looks like Iceman's and the latter looks like yours and they have different Art.No. though the price is the same EUR 75.
