BMW says Copied CD's Void Warranty

I spoke to BMW Service Department and they say that if i play copied CD's it void's my warranty...are they chattin dog's b0ll0cks or are they talkin the truth?????

Hell, even my navigation DVD is a backup copy and it works fine and I've never had any problems with the dealer I've taken it to.
