That's not worrying , this is normal. Most companies this period of time avoid luxuries and experimenting and stick to the norm. I was looking on their list of projects status and i could spot the similarities with my projects quite easy.. the word "cancelled" was the common theme

My guess is that in these tough economic times, BMW will not spend the huge money required to develop a TTV10 and will instead go with a tweaked version of the mighty TTV8 in the X5M and X6M.
That would save BMW big money in R and D and who can really complain about the huge bhp and torque in the TTV8 in the X5M and X6M.
With teaks, BMW should be able to bring 600 bhp or more out of those engine.
Of course, if BMW goes buckwild and develops the TTV10, we'd be looking at a bhp output in the 650 bhp range -- supercar territory.

Now we know why Chris Bangle left ... boredom. The E60 will continue to be the best bang for the buck. The F10 will be overpriced and of limited production.

BMW is finally forced to slow down the growth of its line up. Good or bad times, aside, it is gratifying to see BMW will have the time to put its energy into the existing line up in order to make sure that the new generation of 3, 5, 7. X, M, and Zs are well taken care of. Just concentrate on producing great vehicles and stop trying to reach everybody. The "more and more is better" mentality is hopefully dead. It certainly killed the "big three".
