I think no

...why don't you buy one and place it yourself? (if you have the skills and you know how to take the seat out) It's a 70 Eur. part and 1-2 hours job max. You'll have to erase the faults at the dealer afterwards (if you don't have your personal tool like Carsoft and the like)

many members here have received the letter.if your car is 04-06, then you will get the letter. Just in case, why dont you give BMW NA a call or email. check the website that was posted earlier, CONTACT THEM. Keep it with you JUST IN CASE you get error on ur screen. GD LUCK

I called my dealer and they dont have a recall assigned to the car, even though its 04-06 its possible it could be 05-06. I dont have a comfort seat, but my seat is comfortable lol, I have to go in tomorrow anyways for tail lamp so I'll ask service advisor about it!
I got this from my sales person on the 05 545 that I am about to purchase:

The airbag recall was reported by CNN as having being issued. In fact to date, there is no recall. When BMW figures out how to fix the problem (which we don't know what it is), they will then issue a recall.

Peace
