Why is no one paying any attention to the keyword STANDARD in reference to 6-speed Manual Transmission . Doesn't that mean the 6-speed Manual Transmission will be an option until SOP 09/07? Maybe I'm being an optimist because I dont want to wait until September for the manual.

I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to -- as far as I know, the 6-speed manual will be available from the get go. The only thing that document indicates is that the manual will be available on the 535 models starting with 9/07 production...
Are you saying you are looking for a 535i manual or are you saying something else?

- 6-speed Manual Transmission Standard (SOP 09/07 for 535i/Xi models)

My Ride: 535xi Alpine White Natural Brown PP/CWP/SP/Comfort Access/Navi/HUD/Logic7/PDC/SAT/IPOD-USB/RearSeat Warmers/Step/Anthracite Headliner
What it means is that manual transmission is standard on all 5ers but on 535i/xi it can only be had starting from 9/07 production. Since the steptronic is a no charge option, you will have to specify if you want it or not except on 535i/xi where it is only available with automatic until 9/07 production date.
