Bmw loud ticking sound help please!

hey guys, after i turn on my car, i let it idle, and i randomly get a loud ticking sound coming from the engine and then the car shuts off. the ticking sound increases right before the car is about to shut off by itself, does anyone have any clues.
its a 2004 bmw 525i 6 speed manual tranmission with about 90xxx miles on it. thank you
also i get no check engine light or anything

My Ride: 2006 530i with sport and premium package.
Possible valvetronic motor failing or valvetronic camshaft sensor. I'm assuming car is turning over when you start then dies and battery is good.
