I had the ipod interface installed. I have a 60gb ipod and whenever i search for albums and artists (go back to the root) it never remembers where I was last so I have to start with the A's, the B's and it takes forever to scroll down. As a result, I rarely get much past the F's. Is there a way around it or is this the best that BMW can do. Has anyone heard of any upgrades to the interface on the way?
Thx

You and I have the same setup and the same problems. I understand that there are some improvements to be had by upgrading to Progman 25.1 (see various threads on Progman upgrades here), but I do not recall seeing a full list of what they are in relation to the iPod.
I must say, though, that even with all the complaints I may have about the iPod interface, I'd still rather have it fitted.

I believe I have 25.1 iPod interface means I will never "get" to some music I like. BMW needs to put some sort of fast scroll option in place

You paraphrased my message and left it in quotes. I didnt say is this the best they can do.
This message was to ask about solutions to problems. If you feel you must start one, can you respectfully do it on another thread?

Because I was so used to the very fast and easy clickwheel interface of the iPod itself, I was a little disappointed with the iDrive interface when I first got it.
BUT........
Two things happened: I changed the way I organize songs and playlists, and I got the Progman 25 update. Both have made my listening experience easier and more pleasant.
Another small tip: you can use voice commands to your advantage if you want to skip ahead a few hundred songs.
