Here are some pictures of BMW individual interiors (special order).

and bi-colour black & beige dakota leather.

Does anyone have a BMW individual interior?

Why BMW Individual, but no automatic climate control?

Both are automated. One is "advanced" and one is not.

I was thinking the same. The standard aircon is cheap and horrible , I should know as I had it on my last car. I always dread the reaction from the press when I read a test on an E60 with it fitted.

The individual interiors look superb though

If you mean which is which interior I don't know, but if you mean which is which aircon the std fit has crappy plastic knobs similar to what Ford fitted to their Escort in the 1980's. The advanced has 3 x shiny knurled knobs made. E60 should have digital readout as proven in the E39!

an extra ?700 for enhanced air con with a few different knobs and buttons isnt value in my book. The 3 series does seem to have a better looking set of aircon controls tho...

cheers
