I'm looking at buying some black grilles for my 545 and wanted your opinion on this. Is it worth paying $100+ at a well known BMW website? or is it just as safe to go with a $50 one on Ebay? Normally I'd stay away from ebay, but since it is a simple, plastic part I figured I would try to save a few bucks..

Go with Nerwyll at Trinity, They look OEM with a deep lip unlike ebay that do not have the deep lip.
use the search function you will find lots of PIXS.

I purchased some CHEAP ebay black grills. I think they were like $20-25. It came with a tab broken off but it looks perfect and fits fine.

Why buy elsewhere when our own resident vendor Michael https://5series.net/forums/user/19991-acuteperformance/ can get it shipped to you for $40-$50? PM him, I'm sure he'll take care of you.

Ebay. I paid $30. Love it. Held up very well for over a year and looks new still.

I have it for $70 shipped. Thanks for looking out though it's very much appreciated. We have a lot of new people to the forum who will eventually realize how valuable some vendors are, providing information and answering questions, and happily pay the difference. Until then, I just have to work harder to prove my value.

A LOT of the ebay grilles have the wrong shape and form compared to the oem, its noticable if you look and compare them and i had to find out the hard way buying the cheaper ones

i ended up buying twice to get the right shape
