BMW engine oil

What engine oil do you guys use?

I've got a 2003 e60 m54 engine.

I'm looking at the oem sae 5w 30. How long are the intervals for this oil.

What about the long life BMW oil? Long life-04 sae 5w 30

I use Mobil 1 0W 40 european formula with a bosh filter. It's great oil and it can last up to over 10k but for peace of mind I would change it no later than 7k miles, I used to use the BMW oil from the dealer but later found out its a synthetic blend, not a pure synthetic. Which is why I switched over to Mobil 1..

+1 on Mobil1 0W-40.
+1 on 7K mile interval for oil change as well.

approximately yes. bentley says 6.5L
