Default BMW E60 won't start, help!

2008 528xi Other day I was driving with 20 miles left on the tank. I was going up a hill when the car started to choke and turned off. When I went to turn it on the engine would turn but would not start, after like 5 try's, the engine stopped turning over. The fuel pumps are working, no fuses are blown, tried two different keys, replaced positive and negative cable, any ideas what else it could be?

Did you put any fuel in it? 20 doesn't always mean 20. Maybe more accurate of a flat surface.

My suggestion would be to fill the tank up (to get fuel back into the lines and combustion camber). Secoundly when you were trying to restart the car on low fuel tank, you might have left insuffient charge into the battery (music, gps maybe running while you were attempting restart), so put fuel in the car id say at least 1/4 full and get a car boost from another car and attempt to restart (may take time to get fuel into lines again). If no luck maybe u flooded your engine (not even sure if modern car can be flooded, but could be possible but rare).
