Evening All, i am new to this forum and in need of some help with help on my E60

I am looking to upgrade my bumpers, it currently has the box standard SE bumpers, i am looking to purchase the Sport bumpers, what i need to know is:

1: Do they fit.
2: What extra fitments do you need to buy - Brackets/Mounts etc
3: Are the fog lights the same?
4: Does the undershiele need to be changed?
5: Brake Air Ducts.

Im sure there must be plenty of you guys who have done this, your help will be greatly appreciated.

Just want to know if it is viable or not to do.

Thanks

Harry

didnt understand what ur asking. The only way to do this conversion is to Buy the kit.I dont recall ANY ONE for a cheaper way.

We re talking Here about OEM M-kit. of course, there are other kits, like the AC schintzer and the Hamman.

Looks like you are going down the route of buying the bumpers off eBay or something and then trying to retrofit it. If yes then look for the Retrofit pdfs on this forum - IMHO the best guides are written by andy545.

See this example of what you need to get. http://bmwfans.info/part-51710396832/

Then you'll need to order all the parts that you see in the instructions, besides the bumpers ofcourse. It starts becoming quite expensive this way. I too went down this route and bought some excellent bumpers off eBay but then when I totalled everything up I was wasting money. So I sold them back on eBay and made such a good profit that I was able to afford quad_m's brand new kit including shipping all the way from the US.

1: Do they fit. - YES
2: What extra fitments do you need to buy - Brackets/Mounts etc - You need loads of bits and pieces.
3: Are the fog lights the same? - NO
4: Does the undershiele need to be changed? - Don't understand but nothing else besides the bumper pieces change.
5: Brake Air Ducts. - Those are parts of the extra pieces you need.

Yes i already have the bumpers for the car, hence dont want to bother buying the kit. do you know exactly what else is required, fitting wise: what is the difference in the fogs, they look the same, i meant undershield for the engine which clicks into the bumper, is that differesnt also?
thanks guys!

Hi Harry,

Welcome to the forum!

You might get better (accurate) responses if you include the specs of your car in your signature. I have a LCI and no that there were some differences with the kit fit.
