Hello everybody

I have a problem on my E60 2004 530I. the case is that 1 month ago I changed Spark plugs, it had NGK BKR6EQUP. I worked in auto service company and we have original BOSCH plugs. So I changed NGK with BOSCH, but it's one week that my car lost power, i press Gas pedal deeply to make acceleration. first time i though that its a fault of Petrol (I use Super) and changed petrol station but result is same. diagnostic found 0 Eror in engine, ABS, transmission. but when i saw the cylinder working process it has such figures -0.2, -0.1, -0.7, -1.5 only 4 cylinder has +1,5. i think that Bosch is inappropriate for BMW? is it better to change it into NGK?

looking your soon reply

thank you all in advanc

Did you re-check the plug gap? Lots of people have used Bosch and have no problem with it. I myself prefer NGK though since I've used it in the past on my previous cars and did not encounter any problem.

all gaps is OK. but i think that there were cases when BOSCH says that one part is for concrete model but it didn't working,

the end of the plug is different.

I recentely replaced my plugs in my '04 525 with the Bosch. Both the old and new set are Bosch with the 4 prongs. My new plugs were pregapped and I have had no issues with them, so I doubt it would be a problem with using a Bosch part. If it is related to changing the plugs however, I would double check the torque used to reset the plug as well as the connections to the plugs.

I've been using Bosch platinum +4 for over a decade, in all 5 BMWs and also man other BMWs for clients. No issues. Perhaps it was the tightening of the spark plug or it is not seating properly with the coil or something. You sure you didn't mess around with the airbox and forget to plug somehting in too, or bump anything in the intake?
