You may want to check to make sure all the hoses are connected. It's only pulling from one side

Default 535D the same problem....

Hi guys, I know this is a very old topic, but it's still very relevant for someone. I think I have a completely identical problem. Both units are brand new from BOSCH. I've taken them out several times, checked the connections, etc. I don't know what to do next. I'm starting to suspect that the problem may be elsewhere. Somewhere around the filter on the inlet, a blocked return line, etc. Because pumping from left to right drives a reverse flow of diesel from the return line. In the service menu, you can observe the movement of fuel, which I've been doing for the last few days. The last time it happened to me that the car stalled and wouldn't start, with about 12-13 liters of fuel remaining in the left half and the right half empty. After refueling, it keeps going. Depending on the fuel level in the hidden menu, but also in the diagnostics, the fuel sometimes moves from right to left, after turning off the engine and starting it again it starts moving in the correct direction from left to right. Has anyone solved this???

It could be due to a lot of things. Use a BMW-specific code reader instead of the hidden menu.

Thanks for the response, of course I do that. There are no errors stored anywhere, only error 4587 in the ECM - fuel filter heating.
I only use the hidden menu in the cluster to monitor the status of the left and right halves, these values are identical in the diagnostics.

You could have a clog in the fuel line. What's your fuel pressure reading? How long have you had this issue for?
