BMW E60 2006 changing the non-lci gearbox to a lci gearbox ( i need help )
Hello,
I have a BMW e60 from 2006 525d and i try to change my non-lci gearbox to a lci one and i cant find out how to do it right.
At this moment i have changed the gearbox and the car computes recognise it but i cant change the gears, i can put it in P , R , D but in drive the gearbox gets stuck in 3rd gear ( safety gear ).
I need some help to solve this, i am waiting replays from people who have any ideea about how to convert the gearbox, thank you!

have you solve the problem?
i have the same issue,but i can drive the car as gearbox is not stuck in 3'rd gear,it's goying in S and M mode,as i can select M1 M2 M3,etc
the only problem is that i get a message in iDrive that Pos R,N,D may not be available and got these 3 error codes stored
on CAS: A0B6 Selector-lever interlock
on EGS: 4F9D Engine idling speed
CF33 No message, receiver EGS, transmitter DME-DDE
so i think it's only programming or coding job

It's a tall task. You have to make sure you match non sport to non sport transmission. If so then it's just the LCI gear module and some wiring.

Yes but i saw in facebook one guy done this job with SAT tranny. Oem DDE, Cas2 etc.
He write me back but didnt want to help me.
Only told me "you need to encoding"

My Ride: 2006 E60 535d
finally i have succesfuly done the conversion,the gearbox is fully operational,not blocked in 3rd gear,it's all about correct wiring and correct software on gearbox ecu

My Ride: 535d PFL
my transmission is currently stuck in 3rd gear. When I put it in D it goes back to P but briefly shows D3 on my cluster.Last edited by Nec; 02-19-2023 at 07:51 AM. Reason: Wrong info
