Jonathan, when are your fellow writers at Roundel going to stop bashing the E60? Saw the write up in the latest issue comparing an E60 to an Infiniti and the author couldn't help but comment that he didn't like the E60 and that his old E39 was much better looking, or something to that effect. It has been almost four years since the car was introduced and it has sold very well. This endless bashing by the Roundel staff has on more than one occasion made think about cancelling my subscription to the magazine (but stay in BMWCCA). Sorry for the rant...
Maybe once Jonathan gets his E60 and lives with it for a while, he can write an article that tells everyone else what we already know!

Also, I'm still surprised that the Roundel has never mentioned this (non-commercial) site as a resource for all things E60! (hint, hint)

Any reference I have made to on-line resources in articles has been edited out.

I am also writing for www.bmwcca.org, as you know, and their attitude is, well, different.

Doesn't Bill Howard have a portion of his column that mentions useful websites? If not his column, I seem to remember somewhere in the magazine where they publish this stuff...

Honestly, I can?t recall. Bill may have mentioned a few Web sites over the course of many years (he?s a monthly columnist, not a feature writer, so the editing out might be different). But he is, along with me, perhaps the only Net-adroit person there. He also is now editor-in-chief of www.bmwcca.org, a separate online publication.

For those in the U.S. as well as interested parties outside the U.S., the BMW Car Club of America, which is one of the the largest car clubs in the world, is having a membership drive.

There are many benefits to joining, including

* Member reward of $500-$1500 when you get a new or CPO BMW (no catch, you just have to be a member for a year)
* Roundel magazine subscription
* Discount on parts and some service from many dealers
* Driving Schools at major race tracks such as Lime Rock and Sebring
* Autocross
* Local chapter events (varies by chapter)
You can use me as a referrer (my membership number is 36024) or any other of the BMW Club members here if you wish. Referrers get credited a month?s membership for the referral.

I?ve been a member since right after high school and have continuously been referring people so it?s kind of a habit for me.

Click here for the membership form and welcome to the club

Is the membership reward plan applicable to Canadian owners?

Thanks

Only if the vehicle is imported by BMW of North America and sold through a BMW of North America dealer.
