BMW CCA

I recently read in the FAQ about the BMW CCA rebate program for the 5 series. The FAQ however did not have enough detail on exactly how it worked ? and if it worked at all!

My situation: I ordered a 545i in late May ? and according to the shipping company it is due in NY today! Since I am located in NY ? I am hoping for a call from my dealer at the end of next week or early the following week. According to the FAQ- BMW CCA offers a $1,000 rebate for members (and membership is only $40.) Can someone tell me if this is accurate? Is it too late to join and get the rebate? Have others gotten the rebate? Have others found the other CCA benefits useful?

Thanks so much for your help.

Jon

You need to be a member for at least a year, I think, before collecting the rebate. The car and the membership must be in the same name, etc.

Look here for all the details.

That's correct. You must be a member for one year prior to the delivery date.

BTW, it's very real. I've received a $1K rebate on my last two 5ers, and if you know anyone who's in the market, you get a $1.5K rebate on the 7er.

Ugh... was worth a try.

Do you guys find the other materials provided by BMW CCA to be worth the membership?

The Roundel magazine alone is worth the price of membership. Local chapter's have driving school events that, if you can attend, are much fun. Also, many dealers offer a parts discount to members.

All in all, worth the price.

Join today so you can benefit from the rebate on your next car!

BMW CCA has been worth my time and money. I have received $2000 back from BMW NA for two cars leased, I get 15-20% discount on parts and accessories at my local dealer, I have been to the "Invitation Only" breakfast with BMW NA at the New York Auto show which gets you to talk to the BMW people (very tight lipped about new products though) and gets you into the show two hours early so you can see the show without 3,000,000 people standing in front of you. You get a magazine plus much more information and services.
To answer your other question, you need to have been a member for at least a year prior to qualifying for the $grand.
