My Ride: Alpine White 2006 530Xi (SLD)
I got centric premium (that's the zink-coated ones) drilled & slotted rotors and Hawk HPS pads. This setup is great if your brakes run hotter than usual (for whatever reason that may be 
). Cold and normal operating temps - they feel rubbery, as if they are fading almost. But once they warm up, they start working like MoFo's 
I wanted this specifically for those mountain roads that I love to drive on so much. If you don't live in a hot climate/track the car/take challenging curves, I'd recommend some "hotter" rotors - this way you'll sacrifice some fade resistance, but gain initial and cold temp bite
