I had filled out the BMW Assist Subscriber Agreement and the dealer had sent it to BMW, however, my car is only setup for Emergency Services, like when you press the SOS button, an incoming 911 operator calls you. I kept messing with it, I think I did that like 4 times (what a dumb-xxs) <_< , not to mention, I pressed the phone button on the steering wheel and the car made an outgoing 911 call (did that 3 times!), other features like roadside assistance, service request, customer relations are still not functional  . Problem is, I bought the car out of state, local dealer was closed, could not wait to play with the high tech gizmos. But I figured this shouldn't be this complicated since it's supposed to function like OnStar. Any comments, suggestions, thanks.

I pushed the "phone" button on the wheel and it started dialing but I kepy pressing it until it stopped. Was I dialing 911? If so, this is stupid. How do I disable the button on the wheel?

select i-drive icon by pressig i-drive controller
then scroll down to communication services you'll see emergency services checked yes, you were dialing 911 - i think, if anything, it should call BMW Assist then they should call 911 if you uncheck emergency services then it should not dial 911 anymore hope this helps, i'm still trying to figure it all out |
finally took my car to the dealership to get BMW assist setup, Roadside Assistance, Service Request, Customer Relations, i brought the car in at 7:30 am and it got done by 11 am, figure about 3 hours of downloading stuff. have yet to try it though but now the screen shows it's enabled.

Is there extra charge for setting up BMW assist ??

BMW pays for the 1st year, then I think it's like $240 per year prepaid thereafter
