BMW Adds CNN News to BMW Assist

I just found this working in my car a few hours ago - I quickly videoed a demo and wrote this up (demo video is embedded in article).

BMW Adds News from CNN to BMW Assist

BMW has been making continual improvements to the information services that are part of BMW Assist and has just added news from CNN, a fact discovered by The Diesel Driver today in our BMW 335d.

How does this work? I have an '08 and have never heard that's possible to access google search......

I think you have to have the hard drive based Navigation/I-Drive for it to work, which in the case of the E60 is 2010 model.

It costs $199 p.a. now and in 4 years.
