It is very cool. We bought the dog rear-seat protector. It works very well and fits both the 545i and the X5--the first like a glove and the second not quite as well. And, it protects the dogs very well too.

My Ride: '04 545iS 6 spd, bought new via eBay, 11/05; Blk/Gry, Cold, L7, PDC, BMW Rear seatcover for pets. First "Bumwa" was a new 1971 2002. High performance 5s since 1987. Beamer motorcycles too, currently on an 07 BMW K1200 GT; also a Moto Guzzi 1000 SP III.

I used my backseat protector/cover all the time; very worthwhile with a 135# Newfoundland.

Look in the 5-Series accessories catalog at your dealer. Also, the protectors may be online at BMWNA. Fish around for a while; the BMWNA accessories site is somewhat wierd to navagate. I don't have the part number, sorry. Also, you could call any dealer's parts department.

As I recall the MSRP was around $165, but that was for my E39. Stumbled on one, as new, on ePrey for $59! The E39 one is a bit snug width-wise, but works adequately enough that I won't get a new one.
