BMW 535i 2008 - strength noise cabin

Hello,
Lately from time to time (not consistant) I hear noticable noise inside the cabin. The noise like a metal lose or metal touching other metal parts and that almost happened when I turn the air condition ON. Also, after I park the car and shut down the engine and open the door and close it agin I hear that noise in the cabin. Any thoughts and advices would be apprecaited.

Thanks

I do not know if the A/C has anything to do with it. Check your sunroof and if it does not have a pad on the thing the moves up and down when you open it buy some cushion tape and place it on it. Mine sounded like a metallic clanking noise. When I put the tape on it it went away.

This might be the problem you are having if not check your fan motor to see if anything is stuck in it.

Hi,
Could you please send me pictures for that part and where you put the tape.
Thanks

Probably need to,adjust your sunroof spacing between the glass and the metal spoiler that pops up when you open the roof.

+1 on the sunroof being the culprit, common problem with E60s.

When you open the sunroof it is the only thing that pops up that sits toward the front. Push it down and apply the tape and you will fix the noise.

Hi Seanjordan20;
ok, when you push that part; is the correct way is to apply the tape around the front part which is the width of window (about 2 foot long). Is that is correct way. When I did that and I tried to close the window is retracted to the open position. I'm not sure what is the wrong? Thanks for your help.
