Hi;
I have a 530 xi 2006 (built in Jul 05)
Standard CD player - No Nav
I just bought the car from Dealer (in another town than where I live)
Tried several ways to burn a CD-R and tried to play in the current CD player but all fail with the message "media could not be read"
Dealer says that he believes that MP3 is not supported? is that true? if that is the case, is there a way to swap this hw and put something that works? How do you know what iDrive software version is loaded in the system?
CD-R have a paper label on them, does it matter to the reader?
Thanks for your help

I realize you "did a lot of reading" but can't tell what you read.
