BMW 530D SE - 231bhp? - How can I tell?

This may sound like a bit strange question, but I am sure that when I got my 2004 BMW 530D, it was advertised as the 231bhp model, however I cannot find anywhere on the registration document where is says this.
Can anyone tell me how I can verify if my car is in fact the 231bhp model?

Do you know what the exact enigne code is? You may find this by putting the last 7 digits of your chasis number in to realoem.

Wikipedia Engine details.
If you have a late 2004 then there is a good chance you were lucky enough to get the 231BHP engine otherwise you will most likely have the 204BHP engine. You could ask the dealer, they should be able to tell you if you give them the last 7 digits of your chasis number.

My Ride: 07 E61 530d M-Sport.
The power was upped to 231bhp when the push button start was introduced(2006 i believe). Before that it was 218bhp and before that again 204bhp. Your car will be 204 or 218bhp I would think. The information plate on the car may well have the power output quoted on it in Kw.
