Excellent write up, really interesting read. Glad you are ok and its nice to see that the car did its job.

I now want a car with all the gadgets you described .

As a road warrior you know it's all about the numbers ... increase the exposure and s_it happens.

Too bad about the car, but it's "only" a car!! Glad you're OK and the accident didn't mess up your writing arm.

My Ride: 2006 525XI, Jet black on Dakota beige. Premium and winter packages. I consider myself a purist and intend to keep my car absolutely stock and shiny. 2008 328I Convertible, Sapphire black on beige interior. Premium package, NAV, iPod adapter. Retired: 2002 325I, Titanium silver on black leather. Premium package. Absolutely stock and proud of it.

Look at the video and see the damage the BMW was able to withstand against the 18 wheeler. When I saw this on TV, I could clearly see that it was an E60. Good to know that our cars can take on an 18-wheeler and still save the occupants.
