Without a Picture you are bound to get some unhelpful replies.

Bruce, I thought about taking a picture but the problem is the pixel is so small that it want show up. Also the flash on the camera will not help, but thanks for those who are at least trying to help.

Sixcard, it is not an icon that I'm seeing, it is a blue dot in the center of the NAV screen and the dot is the size of a pixel on a screen, very small. What I don't understand if it is a dead pixel why it doesn't show once you start the car when the BMW message shows up? I'm wondering if this could be a software glitch but I hoping to hear if someone else have seen this problem. Anyway I am schedule today at the dealer for regular maintenance I will get them to check it.

Turn the brightness up on the screen all the way, put the flash off and take a picture in the high resolution so that you can zoom in on the problem area on the PC. But from the description it looks like a bad LCD panel.

Are you referring to those blue icons I see that represent local POIs such as saloons, resturants, titty bars, etc.?

I noticed today two blue dots on my NAV screen one on the map side and the other on the split screen side. Do you think this is a software glitch? Or bad pixels? You can see the blue dots in any screen, map climate accept when I start the car and get the BMW message in Brown, there are no dots at that point in time. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
It sounds like your lcd screen has a few bad pixels. If your warranty is still good, BMW should cover it.

Aren't blue spots a side effect of Viagra
And as others have said, you've got a couple dead pixels. Every LCD screen has them or will get them eventually. If you're under warranty, they might fix it or they might give you the run around that it's within "acceptable limits."

The car is going for service (Of course for something else) and the dealer is going to check the display. I'll let everyone know how it went and if it is a software glitch or dead pixel.

So I promissed to give an update on this. My dealer today verified that the blue dot is a dead pixel and the big chuck is that BMW does not cover the NAVI Screen under the BMW certified series warranty which sucks. The dealer tells me that I could have one or it could spread. I can leave with one or two but if it spreads a $2500 NAVI Screen is going to be expensive.
