I changed from sapphire black to jet black. Although both are "black", sapphire black in the sunlight had a brownish undertone to me. Comparing side by side, jet black just had this shine that the sapphire black didn't. IMO of course.

I just ordered my E60 and chose Black Saphire Mettalic paint.. Took me a long time to decide between Jet Black and the Mettalic black, but living in Florida there is something about the way the Metallic Black shines!

I have the Black Sapphire, and love it. A friend has the Jet black and it looks great as well. The Metallic paint supposedly holds up better, and probably hides blemishes better. That is just a guess.
