Black 124s
#1
I've been lurking around for a few weeks, reading, learning... great stuff thanks to all.
I have an 04 545 with sport pack, otherwise completely stock. Metallic black ext. black leather int.
I finally decided to powdercoat my 124s black.
Question, flat black, glossy black or body color (metallic black).
All opinions appreciated.

Not a big fan of black wheels, if I had to choose it would be any of the 2 excluding the glossy black IMO...but GL with your choice...

I would go with either the gloss black or body color. The flat black ones would be a bitch to clean!

can i ask y are you leaning toward flat black? just curious.. did you see them somewhere and you liked them?i like black rims on black cars.. sometimes.. but im not loving these rims.. something about them.. just my opinion good luck with your choice though.. im sure it will look great
well I've seen a buch of pics on thsi site of black (though no flat black). I think it a more sporty look, kind of sleek. I have teh shadowline exterior and thought it may go well. I happen to like the 124 wheels on my car.

Too much black , but if I had to choose, I would do flat. It's a nice contrast to the paint reflection and it also doesn't look like you have "black chromed wheels", which the high gloss might do. I think that would look terrible.
The only time I like black wheels, is if you can have a chrome/polished lip. That makes for a nice contrast on the car.
