Bimmian, where did they go?
I few months back I bought a upgraded look illuminated shifter knob for a 5 series pre-lci e60 for $240+
I had issues with the wiring where when I plugged things in it would power up all my console lights. I didn't think anything of it and thought it would shut off on its own, but it didn't after 2 hours or so and I got a power draining warning.
I thought I wired it incorrectly so I tried multiple ways which all gave me issues.
I called Bimmian and they said that the wiring was faulty and they sent me a new one which came out the same way.
I asked to explain how the wiring should go or even a manual or video and they would just tell me to watch the video on the site for the 3 series install which is totally different.
I asked them if they could give me credit or ship me another item that equals the regular shifter knob which is a $100 less than the illuminated one. They said they, so i said i would call them back,
it's now a month later I have no luck contacting them and the website is down.
its unfortunate a store I had high hopes for is totally failing.
anyway...if anybody has the same issues, or found a solution to the wiring for the illuminated shifter knob...please let me know.
