Congrats on the new ride ... looks like a nice set-up.
I have zero complaints and I have not had any problems with my E60.
Your biggest problem is that your 2007 is immediately outdated with the announcements yesterday and today about the revised 2008 E60. In particluar, your engine has been upgraded and now is slightly more powerful. More vitally, I think the new steptronic transmission is going to be a much stronger performer than the current one. The current Step is an OK performer, but is a slow-poke at shifting manually. The newer Steps in the 3er, for example, seem like F1 shifts in comparison. So the new auto trans in the 5er should be very good.
Can you wait 3-4 months and get a 2008?

So far, my 550i is very reliable! Congrats BMW for keep improving their product quality. Please don't stop here BMW, but keep it up to beat Toyota. Once BMW is name as one of the most reliable car, MBZ and Audi will doom.
