I'd be interested in hearing as well. Been thinking about doing a square setup with 245/45/18 like the F10 has. With the extra sidewall height, although minimal, I definitely notice a comfort difference comparing it to my 245/40/18-275/35/18 setup.

Talk about coincidences - my dealer just called me that my car is ready. Its in for regular service. Lo and behold they tell me that my rear wheels are bent. Bent! No TPMS warnings ever. How can this be? Chances are I'll be in the market for a set of new wheels. My comment above - I'm very interested in knowing if anyone has gone this route. Looking on TireRack it shows the standard dimensions to be 25.7", and the proposed solution above to be 26.7". I see no downside with 245/45s, and the upside is more insulation from the road/potholes. Thoughts?

If you don't get any vibration or shimmy then why replace?

TPMS won't alert you to bent wheels ... if you didn't feel any vibration at highway speeds it's possible the wheels have small bends on the inner beads that are compensated for by the tires' sidewalls. If not, most bent wheels are easily and inexpensively "trued up". Your dealer probably uses a local service to handle this sort of work. No need to buy new wheels unless you really really want to.
