In Sweden the extended climate control cost around 950 Euro/$1000 instead of the standard one. Anyone who has experience of those two climate controls? Is the extended one worth the money?

hi, all I can tell you is that the upgraded one works ok, here in Spain is standard (which I think should be the case everywhere, by the way) and in the car I test drove it cooled the interior pretty quickly and that with the fan in the slower speeds (it was really hot outside, the display on the dashboard indicated 38?C ) I guess that in Sweden the basic one will be enough, but if you travel to southern countries or with passengers (I say it because of the dual temperature settings) it may be worth it, and besides a car like this is supposed to have a fully automatic clim ... Sorry I can't help you more on this, bye :)

when you say display for the 38 degrees in celcius is that in the dails or is that in the CIS (iDrive screen)?

in the dials (in the small screen between them)

Aha you must mean the screen between the revolution counter and the speedometer, because you cannot choose those temperatures inside the car....
(38 degrees Celsius = 100.5 degrees Fahrenheit)

Thanks Segovia for your comments, I have driven the E60 with the extended version myself and It has some features I like to, for example the rest function.

Ha Ha, well In Sweden we can have quite hot summer to, but the winters are cold and I want to inform people who have some doubts that we have not ice bears walking on the streets... :D
