Things that piss me off in big cities with parking situations:
1- People who parallel park and only stop when they hit your car
2- People who park side by side and open their door full swing into your car
3- People who just don't care and walk by your car with a stroller or a bike and scratch your car.
4- People who key your car just because they hate BMWs (never happened to me but I read about the horrors)
5- Parking attendants and Valet who drive your car into the next car and doesn't stop until he pushes the other car at least a foot, because every 15 car equals another space.

Here's my story today:
I'm sitting in my car today in the city (NYC) and parked, the spot in front of me was pretty big. This guy with a Honda Civic backs in and hits my car. I get out and approach his window and then asked him if he's trying to conserve on his brakes by using my car to stop his. He was a bit confused so I made it a little more clear and direct and explained as calm and cool as possible that you just bumped into my car...are you blind blind you idiot.
Now I know this is New York and every other car has scratches and a completely mangled bumper front and rear from parking but c'mon I'm sitting in my car. The next thing is I have a license plate mounted EZPass and when morons back into it it will crack and when it rains, shorts out and stops working. But the bottom line I respect my car a great deal and it really pisses me off when idiotic people like this guy disrespects it. After he called me a douche bag I was really tempted to slash his tires, deflate them or if I had the valve stem removal tool...but I maintained my composure and acted civil.

 

i hear ya... i hate inconsiderate asses! one thing we know definitely from this is, his honda dont have parking sensors!! ah, just trying to unload the tension...

one pet peeve of mine, when idiots dont signal when making a turn and im waiting at the coner!! when i would have ample time to go!! pisses me off!! F'N JERK! o great! now im roweled up! LOL

 

Tons of stupid drivers everywhere! It peeves me at times and makes me want to buy a Hummer !!!!

 

A lady recently parralel parked and reversed into my car, also while I was sitting in my car (an E46) with the engine switched off. She got out, and instead of apologizing, attacked me verbally, screaming "Can't you see my indicator was on!!!". I calmly told her that her indicator didn't "indicate" that the dead sea must part behind her, and averyone must get out of the way! Needless to say, she didn't get it, and we ended up going to court. She ended up, not only paying my damages, but also paying my legal costs. Poetic justice...

Idiots. City people (with not as nice cars at least) are scumbags like that. They will hit your car and think its just a usual occurence. The Valet people are P.O.S. I have cursed many out. Cabbies are ten times worse and I spit in this guys face I was so mad. This is the reason.

The guy was moving my car (thankfully another car because I rarely drive the e60 into Manhattan)...and he parks it in the worst place. This cabbie, Ill call him Aladdin...was trying to get his cab out of the garage. The idiot attendant left my car in the entrance area. Aladdin was trying to get out and while doing so was literally starting to sideswipe my car to get out. How could you not notice you are sideswiping a vehicle. I run to his cab bang on his window shouting expletives and he gets out. Im like you better pay for that Aladdin and he just said something like abu abu abu or something. I took his plate number down and the garage number because it was half the attendants fault. Besides get really heated...spit in Aladdins face and leave the garage...I flagged down a cop told him the whole thing and after repeated calls to the cab company and so on...They fixed the scratches and what not. I hate the city. I really do. I started taking the train down whenever I can its that bad. Sorry to hear about your story though

 

Hey, its all of you idiots from the suburbs that come into the city that don't know how to drive...let's make that perfectly clear! What schmuck from NJ, CT or Westchester knows about parallel parking??? They are all strip mall, pull in a lane and ding your car door dummies. Ahhhhh...now that feels better. Lol

 

That is exactly why you don't buy nice cars when you live in a big city.... You buy a shitty honda civic and drive it everywhere and don't really care about the scratches, dings, etc.

That's why my car never goes into Manhattan. It's not worth the aggravation. My Durango has 3 purposes in life: 1) Takes me to the Train Station each morning, 2) Takes me to Home Depot, 3) Takes me to Manhattan when I need to drive in. That's its purpose in life. Nothing more, nothing less. When I go into the city to visit my mom, I let the garage attendants in her garage, do whatever they want with it. If they want to slam into someone behind me, feel free. They want to back someone into me, no problem! Hell, have at the doors if you want, I got a few dings there already. And I even tip them when I leave, because they hook us up by not charging us the overnight rate. Hahahaha!

The M and the X will never go into Manhattan.

 

O plzzzz dont get my started... people have no respect for anything,let alone cars.. in the city its the worst.. a guy backed up in to my car yesterday, he acted like he did nothing, and when i told him he hit my car, he has the balls to say so.. i looked at him like this .. but that turned to this real fast then this ... with his fuked up piece of crap for a car.. so i stayed cool.. let him leave.. call my tow truck buddy. and had his shit towed.... i dont care if it was the wrong thing to do.. just the balls on this guy to say so like its ok to hit my car.. or any ones car at that...
