search is your friend on this subject

first on what is the amount you are looking to stay in?

that will help a lot because the tires that I run cost $2k now, the new tires I just bought are only $1k

Try searching. This topic has been covered many times in the past.

But since your new here, we'll give you a break

A lot of members on this forum are running on Michelin PS2's. They get really good reviews but cost a little more, as I recall they cost about 350 per tire.
There are cheaper options of course but as soon as I get rid of my cruddy run flat tires, I am getting the PS2's

PS2 are great tires, dont overlook the Nitto Invo's

Ive ridden in m3's that had each setup and I actually prefered the Invo's to the PS2 overall ride

the PS2 are great but a little too noisy for me, plus the Invos are dead quiet and are great in corners

I am running fairly large 19" tires, so I am somewhat limited no my choices (285/35/19, 245/40/19). For this tire size:

PS2's run about $1800 and are great tires
Contiental contact sport 2 or 3 (3's are the new ones). great tires. I got 32k/20k out of the my rears and 52k out of my fronts. Cost about $1600 and I recommend them.
Nitto INVO's run about $1200 but I had been told by my tire dealer that they burn up fast. They are good and they are quiet.
Falken F545's: high recommendations from my tire dealer and I am trying them. Cost about $1100. They say they put a lot of these on 5 series and get good wear. I have only had them for about 200 miles, but they feel good, quiet and seem to stick. I am sure you can get better performance from the PS2's but for $700 I decided to try these.

I would not recommend running different tires on the front and rear. I think you could see some undesirable handling characteristics.

I find it odd when people say this topic has been covered before. Of course it has. However, new tires come out frequently and previous posts and comments become irrelevant.

I havent seen any postings stating how many miles people have had with the Invo's I think they are too new to really gain a good concensus

I know my local tuner shop had Invos on their r35 gtr and they loved them

Now they just got some new Pzeros on there
