Default BEST adhesive for spoilers??

Used very expensive (specialty for auto molding, etc.) 3m double-sided tape to install trunk spoiler and window “shade” spoiler on son’s 2005 530i. Not holding completely, lifting at sides.

Have any of you used a liquid type adhesive for this? Thinking it may work better. ??

Suggestions?

Thanks!

Did you ensure all wax had been removed from all surfaces prior to installation?

Well, maybe...

We used 90% rubbing alcohol followed by the 3m adhesive prep sponge, then applied the taped spoiler after the required waiting period.

Dawn dish soap is one of the best for removing wax on automotive finishers and birds contaminated by oil.

Well, if anyone suggests an adhesive... I’ll use Dawn first. Lol.

BMW Betalink, available at your dealer for about $35-40 for the kit. You can mail order it also.

The above link sends me to Walmart, which either doesn't have it stock or doesn't sell it anymore all of the sudden. Found it Autozone for $5.99 though.
