I bent 3 rims and bubbled 2 tires last year from pot holes. Only had the car a month before it happened. I got the wheels straightened and replaced all 4 tires with non-runflats.
I'm being very careful this spring!

Hey E60COYOTE,
I dented a couple of rims 6 months ago but just purchased a couple of new rims instead. How much did you pay to have the rims straighten? and how was the quality of the work? Who did you use?
Thanks
Tony

They also ran scientific tests using sophisticated measuring equipment at nearby Lehigh University. Their tests concluded that the repaired wheels were indistinguishable from new stock.

Same thing happened to me in Boston; the roads there just plain flat-out suck -- construction sites throughout the major routes due to The Big Dig exasperate the situation by throwing nails into the potential damage equation.
I replaced my stock tires at about 8,000 miles because 2 of them had nails that were too close to the outside edge to repair, 2 were bubbling, and all 4 of my M66 parallel spokes were bent in some way.
Good excuse to go aftermarket wheel/tire shopping though (assuming you would need an excuse in the first place...)
