Last Thursday I was coming out of NYC back home to South Jersey. I was driving granny style perfectly over or around every man hole, pot holes, and such. Each block was like an obstacle course I tell ya. I was almost clear and free. I make it to the Lincoln tunnel with no issues at all and get to the toll booths still no issues. I get my ticket and start picking up some speed, well then you know what happens. I hit a one at about 60mpg. and out of nowhere, It must've been the last freaking pothole before the road smoothed out. unbelievable! I know I hit it hard cause my knee shot up and hit my steering wheel pretty hard. I also freaked out and started to swerve.
so I go to the next service exit and check my wheel, I see no visual damage, but it was dark. so then I proceeded to drive 1.5 hours back home. I notices a suttle vibration at times, but I cant tell if it was already there or just in my head. For the most part it still drives smoothly.

The next morning I go for another look and and run my finger along the lip. I feel the an unevenness in the curvature of the lip. Oh man i flattened it out some bit. I'm not losing air because it happened last Thursday and im still fine.

Sucky part, i gotta drive about 500 miles tomorrow. Dunno if it'll hold up.

if you look closely to the top of the wheel, it looks slightly flattened.

sucks cause someone told me these RIMS cannot be fixed cause of the aluminum lip cover.

most times when a wheel gets bent, its the inner barrel of the rim that gets tweaked the worse.

have the tire shop throw the wheel on the balance machine. if its slightly bent, you may be alright with just rebalancing it. and you'll be able to see where the wheel is bent when it is being rotated on the machine.
otherwise you need to get a wheel repair specialist to bend it straight.

Had the same thing two weeks ago coming out of Newark international, those roads are awful. Cost me a brand new front tire......all said and done nearly $400
