To All E60 Drivers here..

I would highly advise to get a battery tender for your E60. No matter how is your driving style (1 mile in month or 100 mile a day). I have had all sorts of battery problems - Low charge / High charge?all sorts of lights came on and went away in last 4 months because of this F***ing battery.

Replaced 2 in last 1 year?

From last 2 months have a battery tender and I am very happy with it.

BMW should build it in as a part of their standard specs on E60.

Deltran makes the BMW-branded battery charger. You can pay BMW a premium for the logo, or just get this one from Amazon.com:

I have this charger and it works great. I charge the battery up about once a month when I can park the car on a Friday night and not use it for the weekend. It also works great for my Volvo, and a friend of mine uses the motorcycle version for his Yamaha.

Good luck.

You sure its not because of your alternator?

I think it is your alternator, because my car had the same problem until i had the alternator replaced and now I have no problems with the battery.

but the thing is BMW dont do free diagnotic, if they say it is the battery and you dont have 7500 miles per year, they charge you, not always free diagnostic under factory warranty
