Yeah so the last week I have been trying to figure out wtf is going on with my battery, I charge it, it works for 2 days during which I drive around and then the car wont start in the morning
The independent shop I am taking it too is asking 250 to run a diagnostic and replace the battery, I can save 50 bucks doing it myself, only problem is the dumbasses at the local parts stores don't seem to get what I mean when I say I want a good, exact fit battery? Anybody have any suggestions for a good, exact fit battery for a 2004 530i?

WRT discharge: it sounds like your alternator is dead since it's not charging the battery when you drive - unless you have what is known as undesirable driving (short trips).

If you don't have an honest independent mechanic, check for an AutoZone near you .. .. they'll run a basic alternator output check for free and they should stock a direct replacement battery for an '04 530. You may need a BMW shop to reinitialize some accessories after the battery is replaced.

If you have AAA Roadside Assistance, their mobile trucks sell and install replacement batteries. AAA did mine in July.. $140 for the battery, $4 labor, $10 old battery disposal fee, plus tax.. $167.32 total..done in 20 minutes. No problems since! I wrote a long post of my situation here:

What? No. But that's a topic for another thread.
Did you bother looking up the specs of the Werker 95R?
850CCA 15-9/16" x 6-15/16" x 7-1/2" 64.5 lbs.
Stock is 850CCA 15-9/16" x 6-15/16" x 7-1/2" 62 lbs.

Duralast (AutoZone)49DL
AutoCraft Titanium 49-1 (Advance Auto)
