So, I get into my car (about 88F outside) and start the car. Date/Time missing and asks me to reenter. I do so then I notice a fault on my HUD and it shows the car on a lift with the statement- Extra Battery Discharge... Anybody have this or know what it means? The car has not shown it again since driving it all day.

Hope your issue is a relatively straightforward problem with an easy fix cause mine hasn't been. I've been getting the same high battery discharge warning every morning for the last month and a half and my car has been at the dealer four times now and they still haven't figured it out. Supposedly they tested the battery, alternator, drainage and couldn't find anything. They next replaced the CAS module which didn't help then they replaced the IBS (Intelligent Battery Sensor) with no luck. They tried a new battery and that wasn't it. About a week ago they said maybe the warning light is there but nothing's actually wrong so they cleared the code. Same thing happened the next day so my car's back there again today.

Gregg2gs - Could be a weak battery - you can look at the negative post terminal and you will see a 4 digit code on there if it is an OEM battery. Eg... 4508.. the first 2 digits are the week # of the year, and the last two are the year. So 4508 = 45th week of 2008.
If your battery is 4 year or older... most likely the issue..although people with newer batteries have had problems too.
Eurocarfan - Have they done a closed circuit current draw test? Also do you have comfort access? Sounds like something is draining your battery. In one other case, there was something plugged in the lighter socket.
The closed circuit should help narrow it down. I'm interested in the resolution. Please provide an update as they figure out the electrical gremlins.

My understanding is that they did the draw test when I first brought the car in on Apr 23rd and didn't find anything. I think they're doing it again this week. I do have comfort access and I actually did make sure the cigarette lighter wasn't pushed in. I hope to hear something back today.
