After 2 days of rain, the battery is half in water.
Its just clear water, I see no leaks, and the battery comp. seams thight...

to narrow the problem down, my car is the sedan version (E60).2004, 545i euro, org battery.
With sunroof. Water is clear. Battery has been up in water 3/4 for weeks without
any elec fails so far..
Just checked my car after a rainy day, with flashligt, no movements of the car the whole day, and saw drops of water under airwents-depressureaser-black-plastic-clusters, just above the battery.

where does rainwater go from roof , rear window, trunk, ,,, etc ,,

Hi, I had this problem and turned out to be a leak in the fuel cap area, wasn't sitting flush and when it rained heavily, water was leaking down through. Took the dealer 5 days to find it, seemed to cure the problem though. Not sure it will be the same thing but may be worth checking.
