battery change

any recommendations? oem or ???? also is there a certain way to install the battery or will i get error codes? i tried to search but could not come up w/ anything. thanks in advance.
p.s i saw something about having to register the battery? wth is all that about?

my bro in law saw a video on youtube and he changed the battery in the trunk by himself. saved him 400 bucks. anyone recommend this? he has an 05 530 while i have an 07 525i any difference?
