The e90 doesn't have a Bangle butt.

I am of the same opinion as Darkside. When it first came out i thought it was ugly. Then i slowly begun to apreciate it. I had a beautifull e39 at the time and i appreciated my e39 more. So i actually kept the e39 longer than expected.

But when i finally decided to sell the e39 I begun looking at the e60 in ways i hadnt before. Without the aero kit i think the front is missing something (my opinion). With the m-packet it looks just complete. very nice.

Strangely my girl likes the 7-series but i think its absolutly ugly. The facelifted version is nice - especially the back. i saw the fotos of the next generation 7-series and it looks like its going to be a winner !

Someone mentioned the upcoming new 5 series in 2008? yes it looks to follow the 3 series lines in front. BUT, if you look at those pics carefully and then you look back at our current e60,..mmmhhh our e60 looks dated. oh dear !!

have a look at the pics.

Designers do talk a load of guff, but in BMW's case I think they have done a good job in recent years.

They needed to differentiate and take the lead and have certainly achieved this. Alongside this they have also managed to create a very coherent 'family' resemblance and series of BMW design cues (building on the famous 'hockey stick' c pillar etc..)

If it's challenging it may need to 'grow on you'

I was on the waiting list to order a new 2002 745i. Once I saw the pictures I decided to keep my M5 another year. Well, the style grew on me and I purchased a 2003. However, I never really liked the isolation in the 7 series. So I gor an early production 550i last October. Now I too think the e60 gets better looking at every glance. I assume I merely had to adjust to the Banglr design style.

It is curious to see the new MB S series. There are a lot of copycats out there!

Hahah I think those guys misread my post... I was talking about the E90 3 series... and they're talking about the E60 5 series...

Only complaint so far on bangle design is the E90 rear... can be easily fixed...
