hello guys today I took the car for allignment (afs) and balancing of my new wheels and tires but I noticed that they are no weights on the wheels, do you guys think that they balanced the wheels ???I only got the copy of the allignment from the dealer...and the steering wheel is a little bit off center so I will take the car back.. no big problem

thanks

Did you look on the inside of the wheel (not on the edge, but the actual rim itself, I guess you could call it the middle of the rim, hard to explain)?

I just look in the middle or behind the wheel arm... nothing. is this could be normal.. I am looking at my old wheels they do have weights on all the wheels..

Technically it is possible for the wheels to be balanced without any weights but it is very unlikely. I have never seen it. One wheel, maybe, but not all four. Wheels can be out of balance and tires can be out of balance too. For all four of your wheels and tires to be balanced without requiring a single weight is hard to believe.
Depending on the wheel or the shop, the weights may be placed on the inside or outside of the wheel.
Have you driven it? Does it ride smooth? What kind of wheels and tires do you have?

Hey Brian thanks for the info

I put the 128's on bridgestone potenzas RE-01R stagered... but first bought the wheels at dealer order the tires at tirerack and then I have the tires and wheels mounted on discount tire. no balance at all.. because a friend works at the dealer.. so I was hoping to get a better deal on the allignment and the balance.... but like I said got the report of the alligment but no report of the balance and no weights inside.. car feels perfect but also when I first mount them the ride was finee.. I am thinking that probably they only think the car need it allignment since it had the wheels on.. but also I my steering wheels is off center.. so I think I am going to take the car back and tell him that they didnt do the balance...

Which car do you have? E60 models with Active Steering need a four wheel alignment. Not all shops can do that. BMW dealers can.
I don't think Discount Tire does alignments, I know they don't do that in the Houston area.
If it is riding smoothly, at all speeds, the wheels are properly balanced.

I just had the tires mounted on discount tire, thats why I took the car to my friend at the Bmw dealer.. but probably the technician didnt do the balance. probably my friend only told him to do the allignment..
