Except for some wonderful sight seeing the ride was uneventful; Nice cruising car the e60 and for it's size and weight, not too shabby fuel economy. Started the iDrive Trip Computer when we left and about 9 days later snapped this pic ... 28 hours of drive time @ avg traveling speed of 55mph + 1639 miles later = 28 mpg ... That included dealing with Baltimore & Washington DC traffic and some trips to downtown Atlanta.

Very NICE>.. I too agree the E60 is a great ROAD TRIP CAR! Eats up the miles, no sweat!
We actually just bought our first E60 this weekend. In Seymour CT Drove home to Charlotte NC. About 750 Miles all the way home. Averaged 29 MPG whole way home too. Simply exceptional.
Made a few stops to see family in VA, but overall a great trip for picking up a Used Car! Only issue is a slight shimmy at 80 MPH + so hopefully with a tire and wheel balance will bring that right in check.
Very enjoyable trip overall, had the most fun crossing the mountain at 11 PM - no one around! Let her RIDE!

I bought my car up in NJ and drove it to the Mississippi coast. I think it was a little less than 1400 miles. I didn't know how to use the trip feature well so I don't know my mileage, but it sure was a fun drive.

I'll take you up on that offer the next time we make the trip. I was at the plant last April and the "regular tour" was GREAT! I"m toying with buying an X3 and doing the pick-up there.

It's really easy - in the "car data" menu in iDrive. Nice compliment to the tank-to-tank data in the on-board setting.

Cool. Took the 550 on its first long Sunday drive yesterday. 1000+ miles. Left Seattle early, drove down to California then turned around and drove back. Didn't realize that it crossed a couple mountain passes in southern Oregon. Wasn't prepared for the snow but at least it wasn't full on snow-covered roads. Quite the faarfegnugen.
