Got back yesterday from my Euro Delivery Pick Up. The autobahn is incredible. I got her up to 140mph and realized that I was still in 5th gear. Ooops. Luckily I already had quite a few miles on her. Check out a few picks.

Oh my, that V8 is consuming gas like like there's no tomorrow. at that speed!

Everybody is so concerned about how many miles to a gallon you can do. I'd like to see who can get the worst mpg for a change

My concern about ED is that running on autobahn with engine speed greater than 4000rpm in the first 1200 miles would harm engine in the long run. What do you guy think about it?
It'd be lame if we didn't drive at 140-150mph on autobahn during ED trip.

AFAIK, the break-in rules are there for the learning transmission, etc...
The engine doesn't NEED a break-in, but it'S better to do it. It's not putting any harm to the engine if you drive it faster than break-in rule...

He still had a gear to go...

I'd be interested in seeing the tach in sixth, not fifth.

Look at your favorite fuel economy indicator, Rudy. I don't think it would care what gear it was in.

That's why I wanted to see the tach. The vacuum fuel mpg indicator is worthless..
