3. Rear cracking squeaking noise - backseat moving against rear parcel/sunshade - applied felt tape between seats and parcel - noise gone for now.

Mine was very noisy, engineers report:-
Removed vent trim/hat shelf/rear seats. Added additional fabric tape/all fixings greased/tape added to rear clasp fixings/seat catches greased.
He did a thorough job & it is good now. But an expensive car should not need to be stripped down & put back together properly, it should have been screwed together properly in Germany!.
I spoke too soon, it has been very cold here for the last few days & the problem is as bad as ever. It does seem to be worse when it is cold. Also I have noticed that it is not as bad when there are passengers in the car.

I have taken mine back to the dealers a few times for this problem & I have now reached the conclusion that they cannot fix it. Its a Lemon. I think I may be an ex E60 owner soon. Nearest Lexus dealer anyone

Pathetic build in these cars, unfortunately. Or else we've become spoiled. Or our wives drive Lexus which don't have these issues, lol!

My sunroof snaps, crackles, and pops when closing from tilt. My doors creak. My trumk release opens so violently that I have stiches in my chin. My run flats howl. My leather has dye miscoloring issues. My interior black trim is fading. And I am personally losing my hair.

But it still drives better than any car on the road.

The waranty can cover the above problems, but losing hair? Hmmmmm . . . I don't know
If one dealer can't fix the problem, another will. Hopefully you have choices of dealership where you live.
