Option 339 is referred to as De-chrome in the UK and the window frames and door B pillars are finished in matt black. The high gloss shadowline finish is not currently available. This option costs ?145 in the UK.

I have shadowline trim in my e39 and I think it's more of a matte finish, it only shines if I rub armor all on it.?

It is matt on this picture:
but historically the 5 series with v8 has high gloss surface.
According to this photo you can get high gloss (if it is satin chrome):
