My Ride: ActiveHybrid - fully tricked out
Model Year: 2013
Hi there.
I normally set the display in the centre of the drivers display to the range (miles to empty). Occasionally, I check the average fuel consumption. On a usual day I get 10 l/100KM. On a good day, I can get 9.9 l/100KM.
Yesterday, I pressed the button to show the fuel consumption. It showed 0.3 l/100KM. That's clearly not possible.
Does anyone know what might have reset the fuel consumption display? Or caused such a reading?
Thanks very much.
Cheers

If the button is held in ,you reset the display,it then takes some time to show a sensible consumption figure.

There are two ways I track fuel consumption. The first is "on board data" .. the reading on your instrument panel display. I track MPG by resetting when I fill up. It recomputes every mile or so and will change depending on how the car is driven. The other is the "trip computer"... there I can track fuel consumption over several fill-ups and extended travel. The trip computer is accessible via iDrive. It will compute fuel consumption independent of your resetting the on-board tracking measurement.

Sorry for not responding earlier guys. I was travelling this past week.
Thanks for the information. That's helpful and interesting. I guess the dealer must have done the reset.
Cheers.
