My Ride: E53 E60 E92

In case someone has persistent shimmy on aftermarket wheels, here is my journey solving it......
Got wheel/tire/TPMS set for my 535(E60) from the vendor here with the following sizes:
(F) 19x8.5 ET15 245/35/19 V12 Hankook
(R) 19x9.5 ET22 275/30/19 V12 Hankook
Got shimyy right away, then I remembered the front wheels come on/off way too easy compare to rear wheels so I put the front OEM back and right away the shimmy was gone. So I called AG and the tech Peter was nice enough to sent me centering 74.1mm centering ring and told me to try them on and if shimmy persist I could send those two wheels back.
Well, I crushed the rings in the process(mind you I was careful) which tells me that the wheels is really not 74.1mm. Though the shimmy lessen considerably with these crushed rings in there, but still there; also I measure it rudimentarily the CB and find it to be bigger than 72.56mm.
So called AG again and asked is there anyway they can measure the CB of their ET15 wheels in their warehouse, but I can't get a straight answer on that request; they keep saying"there is no way 2 wheels defective exactly the same way" . Really, I am not trying to accuse anyone of anything but just to plea that the two wheels I got has defective CB size. By now, they wanted me to check road-force balance those two wheels. OK, $38 bucks later, both wheel and tires are OK 7lb and 20lb road-force, and one tires is not perfect. But the store operator @Speedwarea Motorsport says that the imperfection on tire is common and shouldn't cause shimmy.
So I said what the heck, let me order 73.1 mm OD x 72.56 ID centering rings (not cheap $45 for the set since it's uncommon size) as well as bought telescoping gauge so I can measure the CB of all AG wheels accurately, just got tired arguing at this point.
So look at these video on youtube and judge for yourself
Rear, CB 72.56 my 73.1mm ring won't go in for sure

Front, CB 73.1 can you see that 73.1mm ring just slide in?

BTW, with the rings my 535i drives like a dream now, no shimmy, no vibration. AG need to learn from this, maybe next time when dealing with bimmer board member remember we are enthusiast not just average Joe. Also maybe AG now can see that for some reason two wheels(potentially more) can have wrong CB sizes.

Man its been like this for the last 4 years. A lot of junk being sold with bigger bores so vendors and rim companys can widen their profits. I dont care if its factory, replica, aftermarket or specialty built if it doesnt say 72.56 hub with matching offsets of 8-20 f and 17-35 rears I wont touch them. Just think if you werent aware this issue? They're are lot who dont know. I am glad you got it worked out.
